Abstract

|
The authors report a case of encopresis seen in 11 year old female. The manifested symptoms associated with encopresis were destructive, impulsive and aggressive behavior coprophagia, speech disorder and regressive feature with mental retar? elation:
The authors observed that these symptoms were related to early parental deprivation and deep seated hostilities toward parents and discontented with various therapeutic approaches; supportive psycho-therapy, pharmacotherapy, electroconvulsive therapy and pharmacotherapy combined with E.S.T. But the behavior therapy has been found slightlY more effective. Also several literatures were reviewed.
